Huge inspiration to write this music came from Sam Shepherd, Brian Eno and Nils Frahm. Not only from their music, but from what they have to say about creation process, philosophy and being a musician.
The real music now is all about limitations and imperfections. In today's World of endless possibilities and billions of sounds available it's much easier to get lost and leave your inspirations behind. By following Brian's thoughts, I've decided to restrict my instruments to ones I love the most. I chose fifteen sounds and styles of playing and wrote them on separate cards. Than, for each song I took randomly only four cards and forced myself to compose only with those, in the same order they were picked up. In that case, you are all alone with four kinds of sounds and that is your orchestra you are stuck with, that is Music for Four Musicians. In addition four multi-instrumentalist musicians are able to play every note live on stage.
Imagine that you will draw two kinds of bass instruments and you have to make a composition. That can unlock the whole new spectrum of creativity. That can lead the music to unexpected path.
An approach like that was fundamental for creation "Music for Four Musicians" and it's really hard for me to choose which genre or niche will this music fit into.
The only exception were ambient sounds, which were recorded on my journey around the World, and which are authentic sounds from the places where I've been.
